With a dynamic combination of film, profound biblical teaching and powerful real life stories from everyday people, Francis Chan, Mark Batterson, Rich Stearns and Lisa Harper will help you get unstuck and back on the path to a life of purpose that God intends for you.
We’ve all had those moments; those fleeting instances of clarity. We lie awake at night, and for a quiet moment, we see past the cluttered schedules and the rhythms and routines we’ve established. And we wonder how did we get here? Our jobs. Our relationships. Our circumstances.
We begin to realize that this is not the life we dreamed of. We feel stuck, yearning for deeper meaning.
The UnStuck Simulcast Bible study will help guide you out of the ruts and pitfalls that may often ensnare you in life. You will be inspired and equipped through the powerful biblical teaching of Mark Batterson, Francis Chan, and Rich Stearns, as they draw from the lessons of World Vision’s award-winning short film, Journey to Jamaa the story of two children who are forced to search for hope in a broken world.
Brought to you by World Vision, this dynamic simulcast combines valuable insights of the film, profound biblical teaching, and powerful, real-life stories from everyday people to help you get unstuck and back on the path to a life of purpose that God intends for you.
As a part of the event, simulcast attendees will have the opportunity to explore partnering with World Vision in becoming a child sponsor an opportunity that provides a child in need with sustainable access to appropriate life-changing basics like nutritious food, clean water, healthcare, and education.

Rarely are the terms hilarious storyteller and theological scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She has been lauded as a gifted communicator, whose writing and speaking overflows with colorful pop culture references that connect the dots between the Bible era and modern life. Her style combines sound scriptural exposition with easy-to relate to anecdotes and comedic wit. She brings the Bible to life and has the know-how to do it. (A Masters of Theological Studies from Covenant Seminary helps.) The author of multiple books, Lisa spent six years as the director of Focus on the Family’s national women’s ministry followed by six years as the women’s ministry director at a large church. Now she speaks at events all over the world, but it hasn’t gone to her head. “I’m definitely grateful for the opportunities God’s given me,” Lisa says, “but don’t forget, He often uses donkeys and rocks!†Lisa and her family of “critters” live in Tennessee.
